Many people struggle to sustain long-term, consistent exercise routines in pursuit of fitness objectives. While there is ample evidence to support the health advantages of regular physical activity, maintaining desire and commitment over time can be difficult. Short-term exercise rewards, however, may operate as strong triggers for establishing and sustaining enduring activity habits, according to recent studies. The physics of temporary rewards is examined in this article, along with how they can result in long-term gains in physical activity.
